The magic of clay
We continue our journey to discover the ingredients and their properties. Among the rising stars of the cosmetic sector we find clays. Formed during the last ice age, they are between 10 and 30 meters underground.
Rich in minerals they owe their colors not to dyes, as one might think, but rather to the concentration of magnesium and iron inside them.
In order for clays to be used in cosmetic products they must have two characteristics:
1) be germ-free;
2) be biologically pure.
To ensure that this occurs after extraction, they are dried in special ovens or in the sun.

Wake Skincare Face Mask
The pink clay mask of Wake Skincare is what we specifically talk about today.
This English brand creates all its products by renouncing animal experimentation. And its innovative formula is intended to extract skin impurities, fighting acne. While kaolin cleanses the skin by exfoliating it deeply from dead cells.
The purchase of this mask also actively contributes to a social cause. Part of the proceeds from sales are donated to an English association that deals with women who suffer domestic violence.
