Beware of Salt
It’s well known that excess salt isn’t good for health, but now an international study conducted by the “Department of Biomedical, Metabolic and Neuroscience Sciences of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia” shows that only 1-1.5 grams are enough of excess of the same to adversely affect blood pressure.
The harmful effect of this quantity affects regardless of the sex, age and health condition of the subject. How can you avoid it? By getting the right amount of sodium per day, which is 1.5-2.3 grams.

Yellow Peppers for the Sight
Not only are these vegetables very good, but if eaten with this specific color they help reduce the onset rate of age-related macular degeneration by up to 25% thanks to the contribution of zeaxanthin, a chemical compound not naturally produced by the body and therefore it should be introduced to the diet.
In fact, a single pepper contains the amount of 30 zeaxanthin supplement pills, so why take this in large doses when you just need to eat 100 grams of this vegetable?
Coffee and Exercise
Drinking very strong coffee before a workout greatly increases fat burning with even more noticeable effects if done in the afternoon.
A study by the “University of Granada” highlights this through a publication in the “Journal of the International Society of Sport Nutrition”. According to the same, in fact, it’s necessary to drink 3 milligrams per kilo of caffeine, about 85 grams per cup, which corresponds, for a man of average size, to two cups.

Skin Health Goes Through Raspberries
According to the “Ohio State University” study, this berry has the ability to reduce inflammation associated with skin allergies. Its intake works better than steroids that are applied directly to the skin, in fact black raspberries have the ability to modulate dendritic cells, which act as messengers for the body’s immune system.
The Exceptionality of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Undisputed symbol of the National Week of Oncological Prevention, and Italian excellence, EVO oil is rich in beneficial and protective properties that should never be missing on the table.
In fact, a new study by the research group of Antonio Moschetta, of the “University of Bari”, has shown that this condiment helps prevent and fight intestinal tumors thanks to oleic acid which is able to regulate cell proliferation.
